Medical Qualifications

Professor John Pasi qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 1983. He completed a PhD from the University of Birmingham in 1993 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998. He has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists.

Medical Experience

Prof Pasi is Co-Chair of the UK Thromboprophylaxis Forum and is a member of a number of national working groups that have drawn up clinical guidelines for treatment and diagnosis of coagulation disorders. He is Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as Honorary Consultant Haematologist and Centre Director at Royal London Hospital Haemophilia Centre at Barts Health NHS Trust. He is Lead Centre Director at North London Adult Haemophilia Network and treats privately at The Physicians Clinic, London.

Prof Pasi specialises in the treatment of blood coagulation and thrombosis, bleeding disorders, venous thromboembolism (DVT and PE) and anticoagulation.
