Medical Qualifications
Professor Alister Hart completed an MA in 1993 and went on to qualify with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1994. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Orthopaedics in 2004 and was subsequently awarded a Medical Doctorate from Cambridge University in 2010.
Medical Experience
Prof Hart is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Radiological Society of North America. He was awarded First Prize from the British Trauma Society in 2004 for a paper he had written as well as the President's Prize from the Royal Society of Medicine in the same year. Prof Hart has received numerous awards and fellowships from organisations such as the NHS and the Royal Society, including the McMinn Fellowship from the British Hip Society.
Prof Hart is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at University College London (UCL) and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) and specialises in hip and knee surgery. He is also Head of Clinical Research in Orthopaedics at UCL and the Director of Research and Development at the RNOH. He is available for private patients at The Princess Grace Hospital.
