Medical Qualifications
Mr Simon Harris qualified in Medicine from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990 and went on to be awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, in 1995. He also graduated with a Masters of Surgery from the University of London, in 2001.
Mr Harris is a member of the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, the Association of Upper GI surgeons and Association of Colo-Proctologists.
Medical Experience
Mr Harris is a Consultant Surgeon with a specialist interest in Colorectal Surgery and minimally invasive procedures such as Laparoscopic (keyhole) Surgery and Endoscopy. He focuses on providing the safest and highest standards of care suited to the individual’s needs, through the use of the latest surgical techniques. In order to deliver pioneering keyhole surgery in the most effective way, he feels that it requires a combination of traditional surgical training alongside the application latest surgical techniques.
Consultations with Mr Harris include an in-depth discussion of treatment options along with the risks involved, possible complications, and an indication of the recovery time. All procedures are performed by Mr Harris himself, assisted by his regular anaesthetist.
Mr Harris is available for appointments without prior referral however most of his patients are referred by their GP. Consultations arranged through an insurance company must be authorised beforehand.
Mr Harris is available to treat private patients at the Lister Hospital, London.
