Medical Qualifications
Mr Rizwan Hamid studied as a surgeon in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and moved to the UK in 1998. He was awarded with Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in November 1998. Following this, he went on to be awarded a specialist Fellowship in Urology from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training in Urology in 2009.
Mr Hamid has undertaken higher specialist training in Urology including postgraduate research at the Spinal Injuries Unit, Stanmore and the management of bladder dysfunction in both acute and chronic spinal cord injury patients at the London Spinal Injuries Unit.
Medical Experience
Mr Hamid holds memberships for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Medical Protection Society, the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), the European Association of Urology, BAUS Section of Female Urology, and the International Spinal Cord Injury Society.
Mr Hamid is a Consultant in Neuro-urology and Female & Reconstructive Urology at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, he is a consultant at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at University College London Hospitals, and a Consultant Urological Surgeon at London Urology Associates. He is available for private patients at The Princess Grace Hospital, London.
Mr Hamid specialises in neuro-urology, neuropathic bladder, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, painful bladder syndrome, urinary tract infections and prostatitis along with the conservative and surgical management of these conditons.
