Mr Rick Miller is the principal independent inpatient and out-patient dietitian for the King Edward VII Hospital. He specialises in mens’ health as part of his practice Miller & Everton. Rick has provided sports nutrition for many athletes from novice to Olympic standard. As a consultant dietitian and senior lecturer, he supports patients in all areas of clinical nutrition
Rick has extensive clinical and sports nutrition experience via a career that spans personal experience as an elite karate athlete and working as a sports nutritionist for various Olympic level teams. As part of his Masters in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University he contributed to further published work in mouth-rinsing carbohydrates and elite runners.
Rick qualified as a registered Dietitian from Leeds Beckett University and spent several years in the NHS rotating through various specialities such as: nutrition for ageing, malnutrition support, critical care, orthopedic and general surgery recovery, gastroenterology, cardiovascular disease diabetes, paediatrics, obesity management and Bariatric surgery. He now specialises solely in mens’ health and sees only male patients for various conditions.
Rick is unique amongst his peers as a medico-legal qualified expert witness and frequently provides clinical nutrition expertise to the His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service under instruction from legal firms.
