Medical Qualifications
Mr Panos Thomas qualified in Medicine from the University of Athens in 1984 before training in Orthopaedic Surgery in hospitals in Derby, Leeds and Nottingham. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and has been a Consultant in Orthopaedic and Sports Surgery for 16 years.
Medical Experience
Mr Thomas is the National Tutor in Orthopaedic Sports Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and is a member of the Speciality Training Committee in London for Sports and Exercise Medicine for which he leads the training of west London-based doctors. He is also the Academic Secretary of the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma Arthroscopy Association.
He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust since 1996. Mr Thomas has a special interest in knee surgery, sports injuries, hip arthroscopy, ankle arthroscopy, compartment syndrome decompression and sports related trauma management.
