Medical Qualifications
Mr Keyoumars Ashkan gained his initial medical qualifications from Cardiff in 1993 and underwent dual postgraduate training in London in surgery and medicine. He obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1997 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Glasgow (FRCS) in 1998.
Mr Ashkan completed further specialist training in general neurosurgery and subsequently was awarded Fellowship of the Royal of Surgeons in Neurosurgery (FRCS SN) in 2002. He also completed sub-specialist training in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.
Medical Experience
Mr Ashkan is currently a Consultant Neurosurgeon at King’s College Hospital and also a consultant at the London Neurosurgery Partnership. Mr Ashkan’s expertise is in degenerative spine disease which includes arm pain and sciatica, back and neck pain and peripheral nerve disorders. He has particular clinical interest in neuromodulation surgery and brain tumors.
