Medical Qualifications
Mr Joseph Curry qualified from the University of London in 1989 before being awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Paediatric Surgery. Mr Curry was also awarded the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons' Medal for Outstanding Performance.
Medical Experience
Mr Curry is currently a senior paediatric surgeon at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and the Portland Hospital for Women and Children, London.
As one of the country’s leading keyhole (laparoscopic) surgeons, Mr Curry is responsible for training both junior surgeons and established consultants who want to learn the benefits of laparoscopic surgery. He has been indispensible for the development of keyhole surgery in children both through his work training other surgeons and in research to discover innovative and improved ways to perform this type of surgery.
