Medical Qualifications
Mr Imran Mushtaq graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1989 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery before receiving his Medicine Doctorate (MD) and Fellowships of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and the Royal College of Surgeons (Paediatrics).
Medical Experience
Mr Mushtaq completed his training in surgery and medicine at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and undertook higher neonatal and paediatric medical training at St Mary's Hospital, Manchester and the Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow. In 1997 Mr Mushtaq was awarded a Research Fellowship to the Institute of Child Health, London. In January 2003 he was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Urologist at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children where he is still treating.
Mr Mushtaq is available for private appointments at 234 Consulting based at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children in London where he specialises in paediatric laparoscopic (keyhole) urological surgery. He has a particular interest in treating problems of the kidneys such as hydronephrosis and duplex kidney; bladder problems such as neuropathic bladder and the rare congenital condition of bladder exstrophy.
