Medical Qualifications
Mr David Choi gained a first class Master's degree in medical sciences from Cambridge University in 1989. He went on to qualify from the University of Edinburgh in 1992, with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England and Edinburgh in 1995 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1996. Mr Choi was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Neurosurgery in 2004 and completed a PhD at the National Institute for Medical Research, later that year.
Medical Experience
Mr David Choi holds a number of professional memberships including the Society of British Neurological Surgeons, the Global Spine Tumour Study Group, the British Association of Spine Surgeons, the Congress of Neurosurgeons (USA) and the Society of University Neurosurgeons (USA).
Mr Choi is a reader in Neurosurgery and treats as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, part of University College London Hospitals. He is available for private patients at The Wellington Hospital, St John's Wood, London.
Mr Choi specialises in spine surgery (cervical and lumbar disc disease, degenerative disease, spinal cord and nerve root problems) and complex spine conditions (spine tumours, trauma, infection, fusion, disc replacement).
