Mr Ballaro qualified from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1993 and trained in surgery and Urology in Oxford and London. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was awarded both an M.Sc and M.D in Urology from University College London. He has completed higher specialist training in Urology in London and is on the GMC Specialist register for urology. Mr Ballaro has won a number of awards and fellowships including a British Urological Foundation Scholarship and Hunterian Professorship from the Royal College of Surgeons, and is a member of the British association of Urological Surgeons and European Association of Urologists.
Experience
Mr Ballaro specialises in the management of all urological problems and has particular expertise in the comprehensive management of kidney stones. He is clinical lead for stone surgery at his NHS trust, where he set up an advanced stone service from scratch, and is a high volume surgeon performing over one hundred and fifty operations for complex kidney stones per year. He provides a high quality patient centred general urological service with easy patient access to results and communication by email both for both his NHS and private patients. He work privately at The Hospital of St John and Elizabeth in St Johns Wood, and at Holly House, The Spire Roding and Hartswood Hospitals in Essex.
