Medical Qualifications
Mr Abhay Chopada was awarded a Master's degree in Surgery from the University of Pune, India in 1992 and went on to receive a Master's in Medical Sciences (Surgical Sciences) in 2001 while undertaking higher surgical training on the North Thames Deanery.
Mr Chopada has obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland; Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England; and an Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Medical Experience and Training
Mr Chopada is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon for the Ealing Hospitals NHS Trust and also sees patients at his private clinics: the Clementine Churchill Hospital, Harrow; the Cromwell Hospital, London; the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, London; and Bishopswood Hospital, London where he works as a Consultant Surgeon.
Mr Chopada specialises in the treatment of anal fissures and fistulae, colon polyps, colon cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, rectal bleeding, and piles (haemorrhoids). He has specialised in general surgical techniques and has a particular interest in hernia surgery, surgery for gallstones and laparoscopic cholecystectomy for removal of the gallbladder.
