Medcial Qualifications
Dr Simon Kennon qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Manchester Medical School in 1992 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1995. Dr Kennon was awarded an MD from the University of Manchester in 2002 and completed an Interventional Fellowship at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia in 2003. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2008.
Medical Experience
Dr Kennon is a Member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society and the British Cardiovascular Society. He is a Consultant Cardiologist at the London Chest Hospital, Barts and the London NHS Trust, where he is TAVI programme director. He also treats at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS trust and is available for private patients at The Wellington Hospital, London.
Dr Kennon specialises in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), also known as percutaneous aortic valve replacement. He further specialises in percutaneous coronary intervention including coronary bifurcation techniques and rotablation, the management of chest pain and coronary artery disease, the management of palpitations and atrial fibrillation, the management of breathlessness and heart failure, and the management of high blood pressure and hypertension.
