Medical Qualifications
Dr Roger Wolman qualified in 1981 from The University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1984 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998. Dr Wolman completed a Medical Doctorate in 1991 and became a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2007.
Medical Experience
Dr Wolman was the First Medical Registrar to the British Olympic Association in 1987, the First NHS Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine in 1994 and was awarded a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship the same year. He became a Founding Partner of the National Institute of Dance Medicine and Science in 2012.
Dr Wolman is a Consultant in Rheumatology and Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Middlesex and treats privately at Wellington Hospital South and the Wellington Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, London.
He specialises in exercise prescription, as well as the treatment of back pain, inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis, chronic pain, soft tissue rheumatism, hypermobility, sports injuries, bone stress injuries and injuries in dancers.
