Medical Qualifications
Dr Richard Cooke completed a Bachelor of Arts in Law in 1975 from Durham University, he went on to qualify with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery degree in 1980, this was followed by an MD from Queens University Belfast in 1995. Dr Cooke was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1998.
Medical Experience
Dr Cooke is a Member of the British Cardiac Society, the British Cardiac Interventional Society, and British Heart Valve Society. He has published widely in peer reviewed journals on chest pain, coronary atherosclerosis, cardiomyopathy and valve heart disease. He is a Consultant cardiologist at Guys and St Thomas NHS, South Kent NHS Trust, and privately at the London Bridge Hospital.
Dr Cooke specialises in radial coronary angiography and intervention, echocardiography, pacemakers, cardiomyopathy, sports medicine and general cardiology.
