Medical Qualifications
Dr Nilesh Morar graduated in South Africa with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery cum laude in 1993 before being awarded Fellowship of the College of Dermatologists. This was followed, in 2001, by a Master of Medicine (Dermatology) degree and a DPhil (PhD) from the University of Oxford awarded in 2008. He recently has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians.
Medical Experience
Dr Morar has been a Consultant Dermatologist since 2000. He trained in South Africa and has extensive experience in skin disease and treats all general conditions of the hair, skin and nails in both adults and children.
He was awarded a prestigious Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellowship to do a PhD at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford on the topic of the genetics of atopic eczema (both in childhood and adulthood).
Dr Morar currently treats at multiple London-based private practices including the Chelsea Outpatient Centre at the Lister Hospital, the BUPA Cromwell Hospital, the Royal Brompton Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for which he is currently Head of Dermatology.
He specialises in the treatment of skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, fungal infections, HIV dermatology, genital dermatology, paediatric dermatology, nail disorders, hair disorders and he carries out specialised mole checks.
