Medical Qualifications
Dr Devinder Singh Bansi graduated in 1988 from the Southampton University Medical School before undertaking training in the Wessex region at hospitals in Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester. He subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and was appointed Research Fellow in Gastroenterology at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
In 1996 he was awarded a Doctor of Medicine qualification for his thesis on Immunological Mechanisms in Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and went on to complete specialist training in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) at the Middlesex Hospital, London.
Medical Experience and Training
Dr Bansi specialises in therapeutic endoscopy, ERCP, gastrointestinal malignant disease, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatopancreaticobilliary medicine. Dr Bansi is a member of the British Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the British Society of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association. He is currently the Lead for Interventional Endoscopy at the Hammersmith Hospital NHS Trust and also jointly leads an undergraduate teaching firm at the Charing Cross Hospital.
