Medical Qualifications
Dr Caje Moniz qualified at Westminster Hospital in 1976, gaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.). He had already been awarded a Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex. In 1986, Dr Moniz passed the Fellowship Examination (FRCPath) at The Royal College of Pathologists. He gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000.
Medical experience
Dr Moniz was Head of the Clinical Biochemistry laboratory at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust and Clinical Lead for Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone diseases. He has published widely on the subject of bone health and disease. Dr Moniz provides expert interpretation of biochemistry laboratory results and clinical advice. His specialist interests include osteoporosis, metabolic bone clinical service, intravenous bisphosphonates and subcutaneous PTH, biochemical bone markers laboratory service to monitor compliance and response to treatments and bone research.
Dr Moniz manages the Biochemical Bone Marker services and laboratory testing at 25 Harley Street, working in clinical collaboration with the specialised osteoporosis team in assessing bone health.
